The group

Renergia S.p.A. is an industrial holding company based in Assago, committed to driving the energy transition through the development of sustainable solutions in the bioenergy and biofuel sectors. Our mission is to actively contribute to the decarbonization of transport, promoting a growth model based on innovation, circular economy, and the valorization of local resources.

We operate with plants located in Northern Italy through our subsidiaries Biomet Ambiente, Biomet GNL, and Agrimet S.r.l., with which we develop and manage infrastructure dedicated to the production of biomethane from agricultural waste and livestock effluents.

We invest in companies that generate value in the transition towards more sustainable mobility, with particular attention to the production of advanced biofuels, such as liquefied biomethane (BioLNG), intended for heavy transport.

The logistics sector is one of the main contributors to global CO₂ emissions, accounting for approximately 10%. Reducing this impact requires concrete change: progressively replacing diesel with renewable biofuels, such as liquefied biomethane, capable of ensuring high performance and a significant reduction in polluting emissions.

Biomet Ambiente

Biomet Ambiente transforms the organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW) into biogas through anaerobic digestion, producing both biomethane and high-quality compost. The plant transforms waste materials into clean energy, contributing concretely to the circular economy and the reduction of climate-altering emissions. The biomethane produced is fed into the national natural gas network, helping to replace fossil fuels with renewable energy and reduce emissions from the national energy system.

Biomet GNL

Biomet GNL liquefies biomethane into BioLNG at one of the largest liquefaction plants in Europe, facilitating its storage, transport, and use in the heavy transport sector and for hard-to-abate industry. BioLNG represents a concrete alternative to diesel, capable of drastically reducing CO₂ and local pollutant emissions.

Agrimet

Agrimet collaborates directly with farmers to convert agricultural residues and livestock effluents into renewable energy, offering technical and financial support for the conversion of biogas into biomethane. This activity valorizes otherwise unused organic by-products, reducing the environmental impact of agriculture and returning energy value to the territory.

Sustainability – ESG Principles

At Renergia, ESG principles are at the core of our work: we aim to reduce environmental impact with renewable energies, promote responsible practices, and ensure transparency and good governance.

Waste valorization
We convert organic waste, especially OFMSW (Organic Fraction of Municipal Solid Waste), into useful resources, reducing methane emissions and landfills. We produce biomethane which we transform into Bio-LNG, a clean fuel for heavy transport. The residual digestate is an organic fertilizer that improves soil health.

Positive impact
We help municipalities and farmers reduce costs and pollution, creating new economic opportunities and green jobs. Our plants are positioned to minimize emissions throughout the supply chain.

Innovation and investments
We invest to increase production capacity, modernize plants, and develop innovative technologies, maintaining our leading role in decarbonization.

Alignment with policies
Our work supports European and Italian strategies for energy transition and climate neutrality by 2050, fostering a more sustainable and independent future.

Our commitment
Renergia demonstrates that energy from organic waste is a concrete and replicable solution, combining sustainability, efficiency, and social value, contributing to greener and more resilient communities.
